Today is the five year anniversary of Max’s second eye enucleation. The photo is one of my favorites of him, smelling the Grand Canyon.

Max says “I like treets” to our UPS driver.
Three rescues, all on the couch, all of their own volition. Holiday (the cat), Max, (the pup on the left) and Whitney (the pup on the right). Both pups were adopted from Cocker Spaniel Rescue of Austin/San Antonio.
Special Guest: Whitney, on her eighth birthday! Whitney was our first adoption from Cocker Spaniel Rescue of Austin/San Antonio. She’s a sweet girl. Hardly acknowledges Max. And is his exact opposite in almost every way.
Happy three year adoptiversary, Max!
One of Max’s traits that I most love is that he’s /always/ ready for a trip. Here he is in the front seat of our RV, ready to go, even though I was just driving it back to the lot. He’s truly a joy to have on the road.
Except when he hogs the bed.
No recent episodes, just a general observation.
Today is Max’s official adoptiversary. 1 year ago I had a cat and drove a Prius. Now I have a dog and drive a Jeep. (And also still have the cat.)
