“Not since Prohibition have we seen this many machine guns being used to commit crimes,” said Tom Chittum, who spent more than two decades with the ATF and retired as its No. 2 official before signing on as an executive with ShotSpotter earlier this year.

You’re welcome.
Now y’all don’t read nothin’ into to this. It’s just a fine song and a fine artist. Like ol’ Merle says; I think all of us got a little of this song in us.
RIP John Aielli
This 30 seconds of dead air is for you, John.
John Aielli, the gentle and idiosyncratic narrator to the morning commutes of generations of Austinites, has died. The longtime local radio host was 76.
“We’re heartbroken to tell you that our beloved friend and colleague John Aielli passed shortly before 8 a.m. this morning,” Austin stations KUT and KUTX said in a statement Sunday. “He was such a joy to work with, and so important to what KUT and KUTX have become.”
My Dog Max: Blind Dog, 5 Years On
Today is the five year anniversary of Max’s second eye enucleation. The photo is one of my favorites of him, smelling the Grand Canyon.
In other news: #ThingsMaxAte: A whole plate of assorted Christmas Cookies, including fudge, brownies, peppermint/chocolate bark, and Hershey’s Kisses.

My Dog Max: Dog of UPS
Max says “I like treets” to our UPS driver.

My Dog Max: Still Life of Pets
Three rescues, all on the couch, all of their own volition. Holiday (the cat), Max, (the pup on the left) and Whitney (the pup on the right). Both pups were adopted from Cocker Spaniel Rescue of Austin/San Antonio.
