Spotify Playlists
It’s true, I love a good playlist. Here are some of my favs:
Exploration of Female Americana Artists; Nancy Griffin, Gillian Welch, Iris Dement, EmmyLou Harris, Dolly Parton, Linda Rondstadt, Mary Gauthier, Lucinda Williams, Carrie Newcomer, Neko Case, Kathleen Edwards, Shawn Colvin, Rosanne Cash, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Lori McKenna, Patty Griffin
This is a fun playlist I borrowed from Wil Wheaton.
This was a labor of love; I found cover versions for all (well most) of the songs for all the Beatles. The gems outweigh the stinkers, but I love this playlist.
Another of my best loved by me playlists. I needed more Irish Traditional Music than just Solas, and so this is it. Sláinte
Music from a certain time in my life.
I took my original Bluenote playlists, and removed (or am removing) the more challenging artists; think Don Cherry, Andrew Hill, Ornette Coleman. The goal is to create a playlist more palatable to non-jazz aficionados. Plus, honestly, I don’t tend to dig Free Jazz too much.
For those days when Bluenote is a little too much, you can enjoy the GRP Jazz catalog.
I’ve been known to enjoy a prog rock act or two. Here’s a Rolling Stone magazine curated list.
And speaking of Rolling Stone Magazine, here’s their list of top 500 songs from the early aughts.
